Storylines Tour

On Thursday, the 28th of August 2014. The extension class will be going to the Vodafone event centre to attend the Storyline's Tour. There will be four amazing authors, Their names are Catherine Mayo, Juliette Mclver, Jill Macgregor and Paula Green. They will be sharing their amazing stories with us. One author I will be looking forward to is Catherine Mayo because she is all about medieval times and war.

Paula Green was born in the west coast of Auckland. She is a children's author and she was the 2008 judge of the New Zealand post Secondary school poetry Competition.

Catherine was born in Auckland and she was in a band called Gentle Annie. Her musical instrument is the violin.

Juliette Mclver was born in Wellington and she has studied at Victoria University and she has a degree in Linguistics. She is a english teacher and has a diploma in English.

Jill Macgregor was born in Dunedin and she lives in Kapiti coast where she is a school teacher, she was a teacher in Tonga in the 1990's. From then she has travelled nearly all around the Islands.

MOTAT

A couple days ago we went to MOTAT.We where lucky because we weren't going to have enough parents to volunteer.So as we checked up to see if we had enough parents Ms Squires had a big relief and she said “we have enough parents”So do you want to know who was in my Grandad’s team???They were Rauf,Isara,Junior ,Texas,Jacob and lucky last Esrah.

As we got to MOTAT the first thing we did was to introduce our self's.The person who was the instructor was a lady called Stacey.She was American.The first activity that we did was to get use to MOTAT.The first thing that my team went to was the gaming room.

The second room that we went to was the Tactile Dome.The Tactile Dome is a very dark room and a obstacle course that you had to go to.The guy said you had to use you had to use your senses the type of senses were the feeling senses and...Really that's all that he told us.Guess what...Rauf was shouted out “We’re Going to DIE!!!”

It was very fun at MOTAT because we had such fun in the gaming Room.But i hope to go there next term Or the next time.

These are my friends

My friends are Isara,Rauf and Jacob.But there are many more,these are my closest friends.These are my friends because when we first met we weren't close but when we started getting older we just became friends.

The snake attack

The snake carry’s the poison in a little bag they called a sack.The sack connects to the the poison then enters into the flesh with there fangs.When the fangs enter the victim’s body the poison runs down into the body.The snake then releases the fangs and maybe hurts it some more.

Once the venom enters the body the venom slowly takes over.The venom is forced into the part were the snake bites.

When the snake is finished with the thing that he’s killing he will leave also look for something to eat.Who will he/she catch next?

Rollerblading at camp

Asking the man to get my skates I got a size 2 in line skates.Skating to the rink I was darting though people and my parents.All of a sudden I tripped over and guess what...my friend Jacob ran over my fingers...twice. I cryed. I jumped up and got out of there. While sobbing I asked my dad if he could get a ice pack but instead he got a green bag of peas.

It was race time and I entered one.The race was just around the rink,I came third to last.That was me for the races until...the limbo competition.

On the limbo competition, I was thinking I would win this one. On the first go at it I passed. The second go I passed. Guess what? On the third one I even passed.Unfortunely the last one my back hit the pole and fell to the ground.Brodie and another girl won the limbo.

I wish we could go there next time at camp.

The hydroslide

We were at Swimarama and it was our time to go onto the Hydroslide.There were stairs that were two stories high.Finally I was there,I hoped in and the Hydroslide was so warm...for me.Drifting side to side,while gulping heaps of water,All the water spray out from the Edges I quickly jumped out to have another go.HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!

Picnic

Sprinting to the doorway, I was the first one there.Why am I running into a line? To go the school picnic of course. But first we had to go to the hall.
Later that day, after the hall and walking down to the picnic Mr.Burt said the three magic words to make us free,"GO HAVE FUN". Everybody ran like wild, to play sports, to go the beach, beyblades and other cool stuff. I decided to go and play softball.
There were about 10 or more kids there.Oh yeah it's my turn. I batted and ran. I was nearly there until I tripped over so I couldn't reach the base.
So instead I stopped and went to go see my mum.When I got there it was already time to go to back school. I said "Oh Man!!"

Camp

Camp is a very special day for most people because you get to make tents and other cool stuff I can't wait for that big day.I will make an update after the fun day at camp.

Netbooks

Netbooks

It was the best time of my life...we got our netbooks. We had Mrs.Burt hand out our netbooks, with the help of four teachers, Miss M, Ms Squires, Mrs Tele'a and one more teacher that I forgot.
Mr.Burt said how he would always threaten to cut off peoples fingers if they touched his screen.

We open it up from the countdown of 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1.opening it it felt smooth and kind of but it went flat. It got charged all day.

The waves

While the parents were setting up the gazebo my cousin and I jumped into the sea.The beach had big waves making me gulp heaps of water. I hopped out of the water and I ate and drank until the taste was gone."Uh oh, I don't feel good"


Its time for the donut,a pumped tube with handles and ladder to hold on to.That's why my sister called it the donut.Jumping into the donut A big wave BOWLED us over. I'm so glad that we went home because...I don't like the taste of the sea water.But I hope we come back.
